More diggin

The rest of the
family have been out cycling so I have snatched a couple of hours down the allotment. The apple trees have all been planted and I have marked out the rasberry and the strawberry beds in readiness for my new plants. There is still lots of digging to be done. Boo. The chickens have really helped with the compost production so I will add some to the beds next week weather and bikes permitting. Oh getting some rescue chickens to join the flock. They are in the garden,too many foxes around the allotment.

TREE NUMBER 3

The milder weather had the family down digging out the grass and planting a Falstaff apple tree. Mr Glover senior came out to polish up his digging skills and get some winter sunshine. We have found a lot of garlic sprouting amongst the weeds. The stone mountain has ben moved to the back of the plot and the concrete oblisk is there to. There was nothing of archaeological importance despite the youngest grower having a excavation trench.

First visit in the New Year

Today we dragged ourselves up to the allotment and it looked quite good, to my surprise, though I haven't been for months, leaving it to the expert in the meantime of course! Spent a good couple of hours planting trees and removing barrels of stones while the youngest made trenches and man-traps.
